Bankfontein has been in the Fourie family for over 100 years and the current livestock includes white Dorpers and Nguni cattle. The land is located in the Nama Karoo Biome with its unique vegetation and wildlife.  As well as camping and recreational activities, the area is also used to educate people and student groups about the natural and cultural history of the area.
